Spencer, Iowa-based Northwest Bank donated $25,000 to Floyd Valley Foundation for a maternal health/OB renovation and expansion.
Floyd Valley Foundation raises funds to support local organization Floyd Valley Healthcare. The expansion is expected to allow expecting mothers to deliver in labor delivery recovery and postpartum suites versus the current model of them delivering and being moved to a recovery room.
“The new maternal health birthing suites will be doubled in size, allowing for maximum comfort for the entire family and care team,” according to the $2.5 billion bank. “A well-equipped OB area provides essential health care services to the community, contributing to the overall well-being and health of our local population. It can reduce the need for patients to travel to outside facilities for obstetric care.”
