West Des Moines-based Northwest Bank donated $30,000 to Wesley Life Meals on Wheels.
The donation is intended to help Wesley Life expand their services and address regional food insecurity. The nonprofit plans to acquire and renovate property as it expands its services and introduces new programming.
“This organization delivers 1,000 hot and nutritious meals per day to vulnerable adults and veterans in central Iowa,” the bank stated. “They provide personalized service and safety checks to address food insecurity, reduce social isolation and save lives.”
