Montana bank expands into Washington

Glacier Bancorp, Kalispell, Mont., has signed an agreement to acquire North Cascades National Bank, Chelan, Wash. NCNB has nine branches in Washington and has $347 million in assets, gross loans of $219 million and total deposits of $300 million. The acquisition is Glacier Bancorp’s 14th since 2000; it is the second transaction the $7.6 billion bank has announced in the past 30 days.
