OCB to sponsor community health

Wisconsin’s One Community Bank is supporting UnityPoint Health – Meriter in Madison, Wis., through a multi-year partnership.

The Oregon-based OCB has made a two-year commitment as a Titanium Sponsor for the Meriter Foundation’s main annual fundraising event, the Meriter Pro/Am Golf Classic.

“As Madison’s community hospital, we’re focused on serving our most vulnerable populations,” said Sue Erickson, president and CEO of Meriter. “It’s exciting to have a partner like One Community Bank who shares our values and focus on our community.”

This year’s golf outing was held on Wednesday, June 16 at University Ridge Golf Course and marked the 30th Anniversary of the Meriter Pro/Am Golf Classic. Proceeds from the sold-out event will support children with mental health crises, people struggling with substance use disorders, and babies in need of neonatal care.

“OCB clients and colleagues’ families have seen firsthand the powerful impact that Dr. Katherine Schmitt, MD, and Meriter Child & Adolescent Psychiatry have made, and we are proud to support this organization.” said Steve Peotter, president and CEO of One Community Bank. “One Community Bank is committed to investing in our communities. Having the opportunity to be a partner to this event is very special to OCB and it aligns with our values.”

The $1.4 billion One Community Bank has nine branches in south and central Wisconsin.
