Michigan’s Oxford Bank donated $150,000 and 750 volunteer hours to local nonprofits and charities this year to mark its 140th year.
Of the donations, $25,000 went to GreenPath Financial, allowing the bank to reinvest in the community with debt management resources and financial education. The volunteer hours served local organizations by filling food donation boxes, helping the elderly, educating youth and raising money for underprivileged children and the homeless.
Oxford Bank supported several organizations with manhours and dollars this year, including Food Gatherers, Habitat for Humanity Michigan, Covenant House Michigan, community schools, business development districts and local chambers.
Oxford Bank Chief Operating Officer Nancy Rosentrater joined Oxford Bank President and CEO David Lamb and other bank leaders at the Covenant House Michigan fundraiser in November, spending the night outside to raise awareness and funding to reduce homelessness.
“At Oxford Bank, we are committed to ‘delivering value for life’ and that doesn’t just mean offering a great experience or creatively solving needs for customers,” Rosentrater said. “It also means supporting solutions to critical challenges our community — every community — faces whether it’s homelessness, lack of affordable housing, and limited resources for education. Our team feels strongly that we have a role in supporting the local communities in which we live and work because pulling together ensures everyone thrives.”
