Shawn Kerns and Melissa Hood have been promoted at Black Hills Community Bank, Rapid City, S.D. Kerns was named commercial loan officer. Kerns joined the bank in 2009 as a credit analyst. He is a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Rapid City.
Hood has been promoted to vice president of operations. She has been with the bank since it opened in 2007. She has 18 years of banking experience working in both commercial loans and operations of banks in South Dakota and Iowa.
