Peoples State to remodel branch

The Marathon, Wis., branch of Peoples State Bank is set to receive a remodel starting in January and finishing in late spring.

The 2,500 square foot remodeling project will provide better flow for customers and employees at the Main street location. It will also add an ADA-compliant bathroom and two additional offices for customer interaction.

“We’re creating more private spaces where our employees and customers can have conversations,” said Scott Cattanach, president and CEO of the Wausau, Wis.-based Peoples State. “It shows a commitment to our customers from Marathon and the surrounding area, offering an updated and redesigned space to enhance their banking experience.”

Peoples has hired The Redmond Company for the architecture work, and will hire local construction companies for the remodeling project.

“We are excited about the project that Peoples State Bank has proposed for the Marathon City location,” said Marathon Village Administrator Andy Kurtz. “Their continued investment further demonstrates the commitment of Peoples State Bank to Main Street revitalization and the community.”

The $1.1 billion Peoples State has nine branches in north, central and southeast Wisconsin.
