Peoples supports local YMCA

Wausau, Wis.-based Peoples State Bank announced a $100,000 donation to the Woodson YMCA’s expansion and renovation project.

“As a community bank, we’re are committed to providing opportunities for everyone in the greater Wausau area, and what better way than to help fund this important YMCA project,” said Scott Cattanach, president and CEO of the $915 million Peoples State Bank. “This project shows a reinvestment in Wausau’s downtown, creating space for seniors, child care, and additional fitness facilities to enhance the quality of life and health of our residents.”

With the donation, the YMCA will name the consultation room located within the Wellness Center as the Peoples State Bank Consultation Room.

“We are grateful for the support that Peoples State Bank has provided to this wonderful community project,” said Bryan Bailey, CEO and executive director of the Woodson YMCA.

Peopels State serves north central Wisconsin from nine full service banking locations in Marathon, Oneida and Vilas Counties, as well as loan production offices in Milwaukee and Stevens Point.
