Port Washington State Bank donates $10K for Habitat home

Port Washington State Bank in Wisconsin recently contributed $10,000 toward the construction of a new Habitat for Humanity home in Port Washington.

While the home is nearly completely funded, there is still a $25,000 to $30,000 shortfall. The organization is seeking additional funding to close the gap. The basement is expected to be completed next month, with the entire project being finished by June 2025.

“Habitat’s mission to help families enter homeownership with financial support and education is admirable, and we want to be a part of helping people achieve that goal,” said President and Chief Operating Officer James Schowalter. “A home is a dream for many, but not always reachable. A lucky family will soon see their dreams come true.”

Port Washington State Bank and Ozaukee Food Alliance are hosting a school supply drive through Aug. 16. School supplies can be dropped off at Ozaukee Food Alliance in Saukville, Wis.; Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA in Port Washington; Port Washington State Bank branches in Belgium, Port Washington, Saukville, Grafton, Mequon and Thiensville, Wis.; and Kohler Credit Union branches in Grafton, Mequon and Saukville.
