#QuickTakes: BHCA Fall Seminar Preview

Bank Holding Company Association Managing Director Tom Bengtson sits down with BankBeat Editor-in-Chief Jackie Hilgert to lay out the highlights of next month’s BHCA fall seminar, Opportunities for Growth.

The live and in-person event, held in Bloomington, Minn., Oct. 4-5, will offer a detailed overview of current merger and acquisition conditions, an analytical view of the economy in the Upper Midwest as well as across the country, the environment for raising and managing capital, tax consequences for deal-makers, plus a careful look at details such as vendor contracts, insurance considerations, communications planning, plus lots more.

Bengtson reviews the Covid-19 precautions the BHCA is taking to ensure a safe meeting, including social distancing, masking and more. A virtual option will also be offered to accommodate those who prefer to stay remote at this time.

After a successful pivot to virtual meetings in fall 2020 and spring 2021, the BHCA returns to its in-person format, bringing back the networking and face-to-face elements which make its seminar so popular for bank owners.
