Security Financial Bank awards 12 scholarships

Eau Claire, Wis.-based Security Financial Bank awarded $500 scholarships to 12 Wisconsin high students.

The scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to graduating seniors. “Recipients are chosen based on involvement in school, youth organizations and community events with particular preference given to students pursuing a career in finance, accounting or business administration,” the bank stated.

2023 recipients included:

  • Elizabeth Anderson, who will attend Milwaukee-based Marquette University. 
  • Drae Bauer, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 
  • Hope Burki, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at Barron County. 
  • Maggie Chilson, who will attend the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. 
  • Ericka Cortes-Medina, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
  • Cicely Kiecker, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 
  • Payton Kopp, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. 
  • Grace Mentink, who will attend Northwood Technical College in Rice Lake, Wis. 
  • Haylie Schmidt, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. 
  • Brooke Schwebach, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
  • Emma Southworth, who will attend the University of Montana in Missoula. 
  • Kelli Zimmer, who will attend Northwood Technical College.
