Singhal named CIO at Farmers & Merchants

Ohio’s Farmers & Merchants State Bank announced the addition of Shalini Singhal as chief information officer. 

Singhal brings over 20 years of information technology and banking experience to the newly created role, most recently as CIO at The Middlefield Banking Company in the Cleveland, Ohio market. Previously, she was CIO for Commercial Savings Bank and also spent time at ABB Lumus Global and Microland.

“Shalini has a long and proven history of providing vision and leadership in the information technology field and we look forward to her bringing that experience to F&M,” said Lars Eller, president and CEO of the Archbold-based bank.

Singhal has an MBA in systems and operations from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad, India.

“I am very excited to join the F&M team and I am eager to execute IT strategy to deliver business transformational values and user experience using both contemporary and traditional technologies,” Singhal said.

The $1.6 billion Farmers & Merchants has 30 offices in Indiana and Ohio.
