American Bank & Trust, Wessington Springs, S.D., broke ground for a new branch in Sioux Falls for its 14th location in the state.
The $9.2 million bank plans to have 25 employees at the new location, and hopes to expand with an additional 15. The new building is set to be built by autumn 2020.
The bank will occupy about half the 15,000-square-foot office space, offering a full line of banking services, including retail banking, business banking, mortgage financing and trust and wealth management services.
The new building will house administrative departments for the bank, and it will also be the new location for American Trust Insurance, which will move from its current offices in Sioux Falls.
Lloyd Companies provided general contracting services for the VanDeWalle Architects design.
