Craig Larson, chair of the board of directors, was named interim CEO of Bismarck, N.D.-based Starion Bank while the search for a new executive leader is underway.
Don Morgan, who previously held this role, was appointed president and CEO of Bismarck-based Bank of North Dakota. Morgan spent more than 10 years serving in various leadership positions at Starion.
“On behalf of all of us at Starion Bank, I’d like to thank Don for his valuable contributions and congratulate him on his achievement. It’s wonderful to know he’ll be leading an organization that is such a good partner to community banks like Starion,” said Larson.
Larson joined Starion in 1985, where he served as CEO from 1997 to 2021. During this time, the bank expanded its reach to Dunseith, Rolla, Bottineau and Fargo, N.D., and Madison, Wis.
“My dedication to Starion Bank’s success is unwavering. I’m honored to serve in this capacity once again, albeit temporarily, to maintain our upward momentum,” Larson said.
