Stearns names CCO

Jeff Hanson

Jeff Hanson has joined Stearns Bank, St. Cloud, Minn., as chief credit officer. His previous experience includes previous roles include vice president of lending at AgriBank, St. Paul, Minn., and as senior vice president of special assets with CoBank, Denver. He also spent 20 years with Northwest Farm Credit Services in lending, lead-and-lend, and credit-focused roles. During the 2007-2009 financial crisis, Hanson managed special assets at Northwest Farm Credit Services where he worked with a wide variety of loan officers and producers to help them manage bank assets. 

Hanson is a member of various organizations, including The Risk Management Association, Farm Financial Standards Council and the South Dakota Cattleman’s Association. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in ag economics and business from South Dakota State University, Brookings, and an MBA with a finance emphasis from Washington State University, .
