Dallas-based Sunflower Bank donated $132,000 to schools and students through its ABC Program for Education.
The donation included $103,590 to K-12 schools and school systems participating in the program’s 2023-24 school year campaign. ABC Program’s “Pay for As” drawings throughout this year resulted in $28,500 in direct payments to students to reward academic achievement. K-12 students can bring their most recent report card to a bank branch for the chance to win $10 for every A, up to $100 per student. The ABC Program has donated $1.8 million to support education in First National 1870 and Sunflower Bank communities since 2001.
“Sunflower Bank’s ABC Program for Education continues to highlight our commitment to our youth and their academic success,” said Mollie Carter, executive chair of $8.1 billion Sunflower Bank. “Our bank is passionate about the support we provide to our communities and helping K-12 schools raise direct funds has been a core component of that support since 2001.”
