The donation supports the building of a performing arts bandshell in the Crivitz, Wis.-based Community Veterans Park. A press release states that the project is the vision of several local groups, including the Operation Bandshell Committee, the Village of Crivitz and Crivitz Business Association. Organizers are raising $200,000 for the project.

The bandshell will be named Bob Berndt Performing Arts Theatre to honor Berndt, a local band director for nearly three decades who later became a school superintendent.

“We did not hesitate when they approached us about funding,” said Stephenson National Bank & Trust President and CEO Daniel Peterson. “It’s just one more way, as an independent community bank, we can tangibly reaffirm our commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve. We are happy to invest in this worthwhile project and are excited about all the possibilities it will bring to the area.”
