TS Bank donates $27,000 for child development center

Treynor, Iowa-based TS Bank donated $27,000 to Lakin Foundation Child Development Center of Griswold, Iowa.

The early childcare facility opened this summer. Local nonprofit Noble Initiative Foundation and community volunteers worked to bring the $3.8 million childcare facility to life, according to a press release.

The Development Center, south of Griswold Elementary School, is at capacity and serves more than 80 children ranging in age from six weeks to 4 years old. The center also offers full-time, drop-in and before- and after-school care for elementary-aged children.

“We are so grateful for the amazing support from TS Bank,” said Chelsea Dvorak, director of the Lakin Foundation Child Development Center of Griswold. “This type of investment will make a lasting impression on so many families in Griswold, Cass County and beyond.”

The $423 million TS Bank also provided financing for the project. “Access to quality childcare for families as well as aiding the local workforce is crucial, and we are excited to be part of an initiative that strengthens both,” said TS Bank Chief Credit Officer Dan Rossell.
