Leeds, N.D.-based United Community Bank will merge into Bravera Bank next year.
The $2.3 billion, Dickinson, N.D.-based Bravera became owners of the $408 million United Community Bank in 2015 but left the bank to operate independently. Both banks are subsidiaries of Bravera Holdings Corp.
UCB Minot Market President Kelly Parrin said the merger will allow customers to access additional banking services and products as well as wealth and insurance offerings. United Community Bank customers will be able to use services at Bravera’s locations in North Dakota, Montana and, soon, Minnesota.
“We’ve worked together for quite a while and are glad to take this next step forward,” said Greg Vetter, interim president/CEO of the $408 million UCB. “This collaboration improves the experience of those we serve as well as our employees.”
