Urbina replaces Robinson as CEO at BankIowa

Alison Urbina is adding the CEO title to her duties as president at BankIowa, Independence, effective Oct. 1.

She replaces Rob Robinson, currently CEO and vice chair at BankIowa. He will remain in an active role at BankIowa until early in 2019 to ensure a seamless CEO transition and to assist with 2018 year-end corporate business. He will also continue to serve as vice chair of the board of directors.

Urbina is a native Iowan who grew up in Independence. She began her banking career with a 15-year stint at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as an internal auditor. She also worked in audit services and operational Risk Management at Northern Trust, Chicago. She has a an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., and an MBA from the University of Chicago.She also has completed the program at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
