Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management hires Hathaway as CIO

Wisconsin-based Waukesha State Bank Wealth Management has hired D. Rodney Hathaway as chief investment officer.

Schultz, Waukesha State Bank wealth management president and chief fiduciary officer. “With Rodney’s hire, we look forward to being able to expand and diversify the investment services we offer to clients in the Waukesha State Bank footprint.”

Hathaway previously worked at 1492 Capital Management, LLC, where he served as senior portfolio manager. He has more than 25 years of experience in portfolio management, client communications, financial analysis, strategic consulting and business development. 

Hathaway has an MBA from The Ohio State University, Columbus, and a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has earned Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and he serves on the outreach committee for the Milwaukee-based startup business coaching nonprofit BizStarts.

The $1.4 billion Waukesha State Bank has 14 branches in Wisconsin.
