WBA names new chair

Paul Kohler

Paul Kohler, president and CEO of Charter Bank, Eau Claire, has been elected to serve as the 2020-2021 chair of the Wisconsin Bankers Association.

Paul has more than 32 years of banking experience in Wisconsin’s Chippewa Valley.. For the past 24 years he has worked at Charter Bank. He was promoted to bank president in February of 2011 and then to CEO and president in 2013. He has a passion for banking and serving clients. 

Besides banking, he spends most of his free time with his wife and daughters and by serving the community. He was born and raised in northern Wisconsin and has a finance degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Kohler currently sits on the Chippewa Valley Technical College Foundation Board of Directors and was the boards’ past president. He is past board chair for the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and continues to sit on the board. He has served on numerous boards including the United Way, The Chippewa Valley Boy Scout Council, Eau Claire Children’s Museum, Junior Achievement, and the Community Table.
