Bank of Wisconsin Dells awarded $25,000 in scholarships to local graduates and donated $5,000 to the Reedsburg Area Medical Center Foundation.
A $20,000 scholarship was awarded to Wisconsin Dells High School Valedictorian Madchen Ewig, who will receive the award over four years of college. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall to study biology. The scholarship is part of an endowment scholarship program with the Wisconsin Dells Education Foundation.
The Community Bank of Portage, which is a branch of Bank of Wisconsin Dells, awarded $2,500 scholarships to Portage (Wis.) High School graduates Anuj Janardhanam and Estella Brees in early May. The scholarships are given to Portage High School seniors who show a strong commitment to improving the lives for people in their school and community.
The RAMC Foundation donation was part of its “Here We Grow campaign.” The funds will help construct a new medical clinic, “a critical addition to the Reedsburg Area Medical Center campus that will enhance health care services for the local community,” according to the Bank of Wisconsin Dells.
