Abbotsford, Wis.-based AbbyBank Foundation donated $1,500 to Opportunity of North Central WI to help with renovation costs for an upcoming project. Opportunity of North Central plans to convert a home in Weston, Wis., into an eight-bed community-based residential facility. Completion is expected this fall.
“We are thrilled to support Opportunity of North Central WI in their mission to provide crucial care through this new residential facility,” said AbbyBank Wausau Branch Manager Jenelle Thopson. “This project will positively impact the Weston community. We are proud to contribute to an organization that advances the independence, productivity and full citizenship of children and adults with disabilities.”
The AbbyBank Foundation also donated $1,000 to St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School to help update the school’s security systems.
“We are honored to support St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School in their efforts to strengthen safety within their building,” said AbbyBank assistant branch manager Carmen Woiak. “We know the school is committed to creating a secure and nurturing environment that allows students to focus on their education and personal growth, and we are grateful to help.”
The AbbyBank Foundation was established nearly 40 years ago as a private charitable foundation of AbbyBank, which has contributed $1.73 million to the foundation. The foundation has donated $1.35 million to local organizations.
