Marshfield, Wis.-based Forward Bank recently opened a branch in St. Germain as part of its expansion in the northwoods area of the state.
The bank announced the plan last year. The branch, at 474 Wisconsin Hwy. 70, opened July 24 and includes an interactive teller machine to conduct transactions in the lobby and driveup. Enhanced virtual assistants greet customers and work through transactions.
A grand opening is slated for August.
“The entire organization is excited to bring our style of service and commitment to the community,” said Jake Weinand, Forward Bank northwoods market president and vice president. “The integration of technology like enhanced virtual assistants paired with great people will be key.”
Forward Bank also recently acquired Lake City Federal Bank in Minnesota. The acquisition of the $75 million bank was the bank’s initial foray into Minnesota and increased its number of overall branches to 15.
