Jim Collins joined Grand Forks, N.D.-based Alerus Financial Corp. as executive vice president and chief banking and revenue officer. 

Collins has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, with extensive expertise in commercial banking. He previously served as Minnesota regional CEO and president of corporate banking for Old National Bank, Evansville, Ind.

He held executive and leadership roles for Anchor Bank, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for more than 13 years, including as senior vice president of commercial banking, market president and regional president. He was director of commercial, community and wealth when Anchor Bank was acquired by Old National Bank in 2017. 

He has a bachelor’s degree in business/finance from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul.
