The donation will fund the program’s core parts, including family camp getaways; kids to day camp; YMCA membership veteran discounts; “Family sports days” at the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota United; military deployment and redeployment support; service projects; and well-being webinars.

The Veteran and Active Military Families programs serve more than 900 veterans and family members and are expected to grow with new program elements and by extending to additional areas of the Twin Cities area. Programs are free to veterans and their families.

“MidCountry is pleased to continue our partnership and give back to our communities through the YMCA of the North,” said President and CEO Steve Meads. “Our nation’s active military, veterans, and their families, have dedicated so much in service to our country. With this grant, we extend our support and thank them for their service.”
