Indiana’s Horizon Bank names new president

With the new year, James Neff moved from executive vice president to president of Horizon Bancorp and its subsidiary, $3.5 billion Horizon Bank, Michigan City, Ind. Most recently, Neff focused on overseeing consumer and mortgage lending, having been with the bank since October of 1999.

“Mr. Neff has been an integral part of Horizon’s executive management team since 1999 and a major contributor to Horizon’s success,” Chairman and CEO Craig Dwight said in a statement. “As President, Mr. Neff will oversee retail banking, community reinvestment, retail mortgage, warehouse and consumer lending. His expanded authority and responsibilities will ensure Horizon’s continued commitment to excellence and profitable growth.”

Horizon’s board of directors named Neff the new president Dec. 19, effective Jan. 1.

A graduate of Purdue University North Central, Westville, Ind., with a degree in liberal arts and business administration, Neff has been in community banking since 1978.
