Kevin Murphy has joined the staff of the Minnesota Bankers Association and will be responsible for member outreach. Murphy recently retired from the Minnesota Department of Commerce where he was Deputy Commerce Commissioner for 13 years. Prior to that, he worked at the FDIC for 17 years, Bank Compensation Strategies for eight years, and as an industry consultant for five years.
Murphy will visit banks throughout the state to meet with bankers, obtaining opinions about industry issues and the association’s performance and its opportunities to improve or add services.
