Ronald L. Slater retired suddenly from Bankers’ Bank, Madison, Wis., the bank’s board of directors announced. The resignation was effective Feb. 23. Slater was president and CEO of the bank he helped charter nearly 30 years ago.
Thomas Papenthien has been named president and CEO of the bank effective immediately. Papenthien, formerly executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been with Bankers’ Bank since 1992.
