MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc., Iowa City, Iowa, announced John Pothoven, retired chief operating officer and former president of MidWestOne Bank, was appointed to its board of directors. Pothoven’s election fills the vacancy created by the retirement of David A. Meinert.
Frank E. Walter has joined Heartland Financial USA, Dubuque, Iowa, as its executive vice president, commercial sales. Walter will be responsible for managing all of Heartland Financial’s commercial sales development activities, including new loan and deposit acquisition programs in commercial lending.
