American Bank & Trust marks decade of Spirit Card program

Aberdeen, S.D.-based American Bank & Trust has donated nearly $219,000 to local schools during the 10 years of its Spirit Card Program.

The $1.6 billion American Bank & Trust started the program to help local schools respond to increasing budgetary needs. Anyone with an AB&T checking account chooses a debit card of an enrolled school district which matches the school’s colors and logo. Every time a person swipes the card, a percentage of each purchase is sent back to the listed school district.

AB&T President Doug Tribble said the anniversary “is a testament to the collective power of community engagement. We are immensely proud to have assisted in a decade of positive change, and we are excited to continue uplifting local schools and communities in the years to come.”
