American Bank & Trust promotes hires senior vice president, promotes 3 employees

Davenport, Iowa-based American Bank & Trust recently announced several new hires and promotions, including:

• Hiring Troy Boelman as senior vice president and Des Moines market president. A financial industry professional for nearly 25 years, Boelman joined the bank last November. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado, Boulder.   
• Promoting Rebecca Skafidas to Quad Cities market president and chief credit officer. Skafidas, who joined the bank in 2015, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa. 
• Promoting Chuck Sorensen to president of private banking and chief operating officer. A lender with more than 35 years of experience, Sorensen has a Bachelor of Specialized Studies degree from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa. 
• Promoting Brock Biggerstaff to SVP, chief digital officer. Biggerstaff, who joined the bank in 2019, graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
