Bank First board member announces retirement

Manitowoc, Wis.-based Bank First announced the retirement of Michael Ansay from its board of directors.

Ansay had been a director of both Bank First and its holding company Bank First Corp. since 2010. He assumed the role of chair in 2013, a role in which he served until June 2022, when the position transitioned to Bank First CEO Mike Molepske in anticipation of Ansay’s retirement.

During Ansay’s tenure, Bank First expanded its Wisconsin footprint through both acquisitions and de novo offices in new markets. Assets reportedly grew more than fivefold, to $4.2 billion today from $832 million in 2010.

“We extend our congratulations and express our gratitude to Mike for his many years of service on the Board,” said Bank First Chair and CEO Mike Molepske. “His dedication, strategic insight, and remarkable contributions have had a significant impact on the bank’s success, playing a pivotal role in bringing us to where we stand today.”
