Bank First names seasoned banker as VP, BSA officer

Manitowoc, Wis.-based Bank First hired Caryn Langolf as vice president-compliance/Bank Secrecy Act officer. 

Langolf spent 12 years at JPMorgan Chase and another three at Silicon Valley Bank, where she held roles in fraud risk management, BSA and AML investigations and compliance, card compliance and compliance training.

Langolf has a master’s degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson and a Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst, Ill.-based Elmhurst University. “In her new role at Bank First, Caryn will manage the bank’s BSA and regulatory compliance programs,” a press release stated. “Her primary focus will be ensuring adherence to all federal, state and local laws and regulations, safeguarding Bank First from potential risks.”

The $4.1 billion Bank First promoted Steve Diehl to business banking representative. Diehl, who joined the bank in October 2019 as an analyst intern, became a full-time analyst following his December 2021 graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Diehl is currently nearing the completion of his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
