Bank of Elk River director of commercial lending dies

Bank of Elk River Director of Commercial Lending Tom Lund died on Aug. 17.

A cause of death has not been released. Lund, an executive vice president, was hired by the $636 million Bank of Elk River a decade ago. 

“Recognized for his brilliant intellect and astute insights, he played a pivotal role in shaping the commercial lending team,” the bank stated. “His strategic mind and deep understanding of commercial banking made him a sought-after lender for small business owners and a key member of the bank’s executive team.”

“Tom was a dedicated, hardworking team member and a close friend to many,” added President/CEO John Babcock. “His passion, energy, creativity and commitment to the bank, his team and his customers were inspiring. We will always remember Tom’s unique sense of humor, intelligence and ability to forge genuine relationships.” 

Memorials in honor of Lund can be made to the Allina Health Hospice Fund-Wedum Compassion designation.
