Bank of Tioga donates to local aviation program

North Dakota-based Bank of Tioga donated $7,500 toward a local aviation and unmanned aircraft systems pilot program.

Program participants received their general aviation pilot’s license and UAS certification upon completion. In the program of 14 students, eight completed solo flights and three completed their check rides as part of the final part of the training process.

“We are so grateful for this program and how it has elevated our community and its members while providing a new economic vitality and workforce to the area,” said Vice President Wendy Lenzen. “We look forward to continuing our partnership to make a positive impact on the community for years to come.”
