Blackhawk adds to cash management team

Wisconsin’s Blackhawk Bank hired Lori Diaz as senior vice president cash management and Amy Smith as a cash management administrator. The pair will work at the bank’s office in Rockford, Ill.

Diaz has been in the banking industry for 35 years, previously serving as SVP of treasury management at Illinois Bank and Trust. She has also worked as a vice president for AMCORE Bank and Bank One.

Diaz has a bachelor’s degree in management and leadership from Judson University, Elgin, Ill. She is a board member of the YWCA of Northwestern Illinois, The MILL Foundation, and KFACT.

She comes to us with years of expertise and knowledge in the banking industry, and I am truly honored that she is a part of our growing team,” said Dave Adkins, president and CEO of Beloit-based Blackhawk. “Having Amy here, with her expertise and specializations, is an absolute win for the cash management team.”

Smith has been in the financial industry for 23 years, most recently serving as treasury management specialist at Illinois Bank and Trust. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management, leadership and human resources from Judson University. She has served on the board of Stephenson County Habitat for Humanity.

The $977 million has 11 offices in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
