BLC Community Bank, FHLB Chicago collaborate on $25K grant

Little Chute, Wis.-based BLC Community Bank awarded a $25,000 grant to local shop Rustic Resque through a collaboration with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.

The shop, which specializes in repurposed, rustic and vintage decor for homes and gardens, includes a 4,000-square-foot showroom. Rustic Resque plans to use the funds to improve the facade of the building.

“We are overjoyed and grateful for the support from BLC Community Bank and the FHLB in receiving this grant,” said Rustic Resque owners Gail and Dan Clearwater. “This funding will allow us to improve our storefront, further elevating our presence in the heart of Little Chute and continuing to provide a destination for those seeking unique home and garden décor.”

BLC Community Bank Vice President of Commercial Lending Jeff Sheffler said the grant “is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together. The facade enhancement is not just a physical improvement but also a symbol of the growth and resilience of our local small businesses.”
