Bremer Bank recognized for mortgage work

The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency last month recognized Bremer Bank as a Champion of Affordable Housing-Award of Excellence.

The award, given Feb. 16, was for Bremer’s North Dakota mortgage team adopting “best banking practices and outstanding delivery of its homeownership programs.”

“Creating greater opportunities for individuals and families of all income levels to participate in homeownership is foundational to thriving communities,” said Jeanne Crain, president and CEO of the $16.4 billion, St. Paul, Minn.-based Bremer Bank. “I am proud of Bremer’s talented and committed North Dakota team for their dedication in guiding and supporting our customers through the process of homeownership in the communities we serve.”

Nine of NDHFA’s housing partners received Champion Awards. The agency’s annual recognition honors financial institutions, mortgage loan officers and real estate agents for their good work in promoting and delivering its programs, which are geared toward increasing homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers.

“Homeownership is a core component of the American dream,” said NDHFA Executive Director Dave Flohr. “Through our Champion Awards, North Dakota Housing Finance Agency honors the housing professionals who partner with the agency, promote our programs and help to make homeownership affordable.”
