Bridgewater Bancshares names president

St. Louis Park, Minn.-based Bridgewater Bancshares appointed Joe Chybowski as president, effective April 26.

Chybowski, who also serves as CFO, assumed the position from Jerry Baack, who is keeping his roles as chair and CEO. Chybowski is credited with Bridgewater’s growth to a $4.7 billion bank from $460 million when he joined Bridgewater in 2013. He played a leading role in Bridgewater’s 2018 IPO and has since managed the bank through the pandemic.

Baack said Chybowski’s “exceptional leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in Bridgewater’s success. I am thrilled to welcome him as president, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in guiding Bridgewater toward new horizons.”

Bridgewater Bancshares also named Mary Jane Crocker executive vice president and chief strategy officer. Most recently the bank’s chief operating officer, Crocker has more than 30 years of experience in the Twin Cities. Former Senior Vice President Controller Laura Espeseth was named chief accounting officer.
