Centier Bank donates $65K to United Way of Northwest Indiana

Merrillville, Ind.-based Centier Bank donated $65,000 to the United Way of Northwest Indiana as part of its annual Workplace Campaign.

The donations, a sum gathered by a corporate gift and associate contributions, will reportedly impact approximately 600,000 people and more than 100 United Way programs statewide, including United Way agencies in Centier’s 11-county service region.

Centier Bank has partnered with United Way chapters for the past several years. This year reportedly marked Centier’s highest associate participation rate and largest dollar contribution.

“Our passion for the United Way remains strong and I was excited to see that this year’s campaign marks a significant milestone for us,” said Anthony Contrucci, president of Centier Bank’s parent company, First Bancshares, Inc. “What I am most proud of is that this campaign is truly led by our associates.”
