Sparta, Mich.-based ChoiceOne Bank promoted Tim Shangle to vice president of digital strategy and business analytics and hired Tracy Straight as mortgage loan originator for west Michigan.
Shangle joined ChoiceOne Bank a decade ago in the customer service center. He was promoted to assistant vice president of innovation and data analytics in 2020 and was promoted to lead the new Innovation Department last year.
Shangle previously oversaw the Marketing Department as well as ChoiceOne’s digital channel products. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich., and also graduated from the Michigan Bankers Association Perry School of Banking.
“Tim embodies our culture with his unique skillset and perspective when it comes to service and technology,” said ChoiceOne CEO Kelly Potes. “Tracy has a diverse career in banking including commercial lending and residential real estate.”
Straight, who will be based in Grand Haven, Mich., has 40 years of industry experience. His career started as a part-time teller, and he has since been promoted multiple times at national, regional and community banks. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Midland, Mich.-based Northwood University.
