Country Club Bank names chief commercial banking officer

Brian Hoban

Country Club Bank President Joe Close has promoted Brian Hoban to chief commercial banking officer, a newly created position at the Kansas City, Mo., bank.

Hoban joined Country Club Bank in August 2020 as senior vice president of commercial lending. He is a well-known industry leader in Kansas City with over 30 years of banking experience. Previously, Hoban was a market president in Kansas City for CIT Group and Mutual of Omaha Bank. He has also spent time at Enterprise Bank & Trust and U.S. Bank.

Hoban graduated from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, with a degree in accounting, and is experienced in commercial lending, sales and relationship management.

“Adding this position strategically leverages our abilities as we continue to serve our clients with a well-rounded suite of products and services that allows them to grow their businesses,” Close said.

The new position is the latest in a string of personnel changes the bank has made over the past two years. Close was named president of Country Club Bank in 2019, and a chief operating officer and new head of its trust business the same year, among other moves.

The $2.1 billion Country Club Bank has 21 offices in the Kansas City area.
