Dacotah Bank executive vice president Hollen retires

Aberdeen, S.D.-based Dacotah Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Hollan retired March 31 to become a senior adviser. Kristen Fauth was promoted to Hollan’s former positions.

Hollan graduated from Northern State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in economics. He graduated with a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He began his professional career as an internal auditor for Dacotah Bank in 1977, but moved to Minnesota to work as a public accountant for the Coopers & Lybrand firm and as a controller and data processing manager for another bank. He returned to Dacotah Bank in 1990 and has overseen operations and technology in the years since.  

Fauth graduated from Northern State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting. She graduated from Dacotah Bank’s executive leadership program, The Academy, in 2017. Fauth started her career in 1996 at Eide Bailly. She joined Dacotah Bank in 2011 as an audit manager and has overseen audit and risk management operations as the senior vice president and chief risk officer over the past decade.
