Bangasser assumes senior VP role at Dacotah Bank

Dave Bangasser has assumed the role of senior vice president, chief banking officer for Aberdeen, S.D.-based Dacotah Bank. 

Bangasser has been in community banking for 40 years, including at Western Bank in Sioux Falls; small business banking at American National Bank in St. Paul; Finstar Bank of Minnesota and Heritage National Bank in North St. Paul.

Bangasser began his career with Dacotah Bank in 1995 in Sioux Falls as a market and regional president. He is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls and the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. He served as a board member for the South Dakota Bankers Association and is the 2022 board chair. 

In response to Bangasser’s new role, the bank has promoted former director of credit risk Jerry Tveidt to regional president. Tveidt, a North Dakota State University graduate, started his career as an examiner for the South Dakota Division of Banking in 2006. Six years later, he moved to BankWest as a special assets/market analyst. In 2013, he began his Dacotah Bank career as a credit risk manager. One year later, he became the director of credit risk. Tveidt graduated from the bank’s executive leadership program, The Academy, in 2017.
