Indiana-based First Bank of Berne donated $5,000 to four organizations:
- $2,000 to Bluffton (Ind.) Parks Department, including $1,500 for a sports series sponsor to help timing, awards and scholarship, food and safety expenses. The remaining $500 is for a department boxing program.
- $1,000 to adoption resources provider Loving Shepherd Ministries to purchase auction items for the nonprofit’s March 2 benefit at the Wells County (Ind.) 4H building.
- $1,000 to Bluffton-based nonprofit Creative Arts for arts programming and to cover organizational operating expenses.
- $1,000 to Junior Achievement of South Adams, Ind. The nonprofit provides education and programs to prepare students for the workforce, developing their skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness.
