First Business Bank golf event raises $42K for nonprofits

Brookfield, Wis.-based First Business Bank hosted its annual Charity Golf Invitational on Sept. 21 at the Nakoma Golf Club in Madison, raising $42,000 for Milwaukee and Madison nonprofits. 

During the event, local business leaders take part in two-person teams on behalf of a local charity of their choosing. The $2.7 billion First Business Bank covers all of the event costs.

The event has generated more than $670,000 for nonprofits in Madison and Milwaukee nonprofits over the past 11 years.

Results included:

  • Jeff Beckmann and Tim Cleary won first place, helping Garding Against Cancer receive $20,000. 
  • Connor Meloy and Eric Helt raised $10,000 for The ACI and Schwenn Family Professorship by securing second place. 
  • Sean O’Brien and Tim Pellitteri won third place, securing $6,000 for Ice Inc. 
  • Four teams secured fourth place, helping nonprofits each secure $1,500: Jacob Klein and Aaron Kostichka, for Middleton Outreach Ministry; James Imhoff and Tim McIlwain for The Lemon Brothers Fund; Jeff Knatz and Brad Niebuhr for Badger Honor Flight; and Michael Johnson and McClain Gitch for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County.
