First National Bank and Trust donates to public library

Clinton, Ill.-based First National Bank and Trust Co. donated $7,500 to a new public library in Whitehall, Wis.

The funds contribute to the library’s capital campaign for landscaping and library furniture. “We are so grateful for the gift from First National Bank and Trust Company,” said Library Director Amanda Hegge. “This donation will ensure that our new building is a welcoming and comfortable place for our community.”

The library is expected to meet Americans with Disabilities Act code while including extra seating for visiting, increased quiet zones, small study and tutoring sections and a community meeting room.

“We are grateful to be part of this project,” said Josh Grzadzielewski, vice president of community banking at the $410 million bank. “Libraries are a great destination for lifelong learning and a source of community pride.”
