Foresight Financial Group CFO dies unexpectedly

Winnebago, Ill.-based Foresight Financial Group CFO Jennifer Blumer died unexpectedly on Jan. 9 at her home.

Blumer had joined Foresight Financial last September in anticipation of the upcoming  retirement of CFO Dean Cooke. He is serving as CFO amid an ongoing search to fill the position. Blumer had 18 years of experience in community banking when she was hired, serving as CFO and prior assistant CFO at Lake Mills, Wis.-based Greenwoods State Bank, which was previously Bank of Monticello.

“The positive impact Jennifer had on us all here at FFG in the relatively short time she was with us is a testament to her amazing work ethic and gentle nature,” said Peter Q. Morrison, president and CEO of the $1.5 billion company. “She quickly became a valued member, friend and colleague of the FFG family, and will be dearly missed.”
